After looking into red hand of doom it would behoove the players to brush up on the surprise round, opposed skill checks, and movement under different terrain and conditions.

But of course why would they? Wow this is great! Good job so far Torres. I think is is great that the DM's help provide us hours of free entertainment and I would just like to take a moment to say thank you. I know that you also have to prepare before the session as well. I appreciate all the time you put forth and will reward that by brushing up on the few things we should.

Yeah,
I'm gonna do that too. Thats a good idea. Telling the party what rules to brush up on. That way we can all be prepared and save precious game time.
Oh yeah and my character always expects an ambush.
That last module was awesome. Blowing up the bridge was classic and somehow original. The dragon battle was great too. Thank god papo went 1,000 ft and not more. Otherwise me and Booth would have caught the beat down.
This moduel is the megabomb so far. Cant wait till we start losing party members. I hope booth goes first.

You know I was reading somewhere the other day in one of the core books about when the party enters something. You should watch how they go about it the first few times then assume that is how they will do it all the time. For example if when they reach a door the party moves 30 ft away and the rogue attempts to search it then that is how the dm should assume it goes down all the time unless the party states otherwise. This will also save the " oh I thought were exactly 5 ft away form the range of the trap after it goes off. It also may save a few precious game minutes.

That is true Dave. I in fact I asked the party to give me a standard way to assume they approach certain situations when they do not announce anything different for me to work with. I did not keep up on it but it was a good idea. This campaign is ready to resume.

If I could interrupt your conversation with yourself Fred Standardizing much helps to facilitate gameplay. There should be some reasonable de facto considerations for scenarios that pop up often enough to warrant standardizing. Who sleeps where at night? What's the marching order? What spells you preparing? How many rations do you buy a month? How does the party travel to places? Where do you keep your horses, treasure, and book collections? All that BS takes away from actually playing. We all know this. If I could play I would demand all of these things and more from my party. Well, good luck with your campaigning gentlemen. Sonya's still learning the ropes. She thinks everything is for eating so it appears my DnD protege is several years away from sitting at a table rolling dice, let alone dominating a campaign,..

So now we're battling to save the City of Brindol (Rethmar) from the invading horde. I really liked how it was laid out. Having shit for PCs to do during a siege is tough. BUt the way the module set it up works great. Cant wait to see how it turns out.

I have concerns that the partie's resources may be all but exausted when the end of the siege happens. i guess they already know this and will try to compensate.

The Red Hand of Doom is a cooooooll ass module.
The whole battle of Brindol was great. Awesome way to take the characters through the siege. Giving them little tasks to perform all the way through. Good fucking shit./

I can only hope that even though there were stages of the invasion for the characters that they could understand the enormity of the siege.
